Regardless of where you’re facing noise issues, it’s important to note that foam will only help to reduce higher frequency sound and will not eliminate mid-range or bass frequencies. This is why Timber Acoustics Absorption Panels is a preferred choice as it absorbs wider spectrum of frequencies, resulting in more control of sound of your space.

Below is the breakdown of the costs :

  • Cost of Wood (The standard panels are 4′ long and 2′ wide)
  • Cost of wood labor (Which includes sanding, shaping, nailing the frames)
  •  Cost of the Fabric ( each Timber Acoustic Panel has an added layer of protection so that the insulation material does not escape, along with the main fabric)
  • Cost of Insulation material (We use dense Safe ‘n’ Silent Pro Roxul Rockwool for its excellent rigidity and excellent acoustical dampening properties with water and moisture resistance properties).
  • Cost of upholstery (Each panel is hand stitched both front and back along with an extra layer for added protection)
  • Cost of Delivery (Shipping for your product is already paid for, Panels are heavy and quite bulky which adds to the cost)
  • GST @18%
We at Timber Acoustics value quality of our products above all else, and hope that this provides a clearer picture on the pricing of the panels.
Sound Absorption panels work reasonably well in reducing mid and high-frequency sound waves only as they have a moderate amount of mass. Sound Absorption panels do not block noise entirely as they are less capable of insulating low-frequency sound waves which have long wavelengths.

To determine what you need, start by knowing how people most often use the space. Take into consideration any constraints in the room layout. For example, if sound barriers or isolation solutions haven’t already been built into the structure of the room, you’ll have to add soundproofing to the outside of the wall. For sound absorption, acoustic panels are typically placed on walls, or in some cases hung from the ceiling.

  1. Place acoustic panels at the first place on the wall where sound waves tend to hit before reaching the listeners ears.
    2. Place 3′ to 6′ up from the floor in areas where much of the sound is produced by people sitting or standing in enclosed spaces.
    3. Place Acoustic Panels and Bass Traps in or around corners and oddly shaped spaces where sounds build up.
